Start your journey towards a rewarding career in oral health care with the Bachelor of Dental Hygiene. This degree prepares you to become a registered dental hygienist, delivering patient-centred care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management and education to prevent and manage oral disease across all ages. You’ll develop strong clinical, communication and teamwork skills while working alongside dentists, dental specialists, dental technicians and dental prosthetists in real clinical environments. With extensive hands-on training in Griffith’s state-of-the-art dental clinic and simulation laboratories, where you’ll use contemporary techniques and technologies to build confidence and competence. You’ll gain specialist experience in areas such as periodontology, implantology and orthodontics, while also developing knowledge in public health and health promotion to support individuals and communities.
