Course outline

The defining nature of both the QUT Creative Arts and Law degrees is their real-world applied nature. As a graduate of the Bachelor of Creative Arts/Bachelor of Laws (Honours) double degree, you will be prepared for a creative career in a rapidly evolving cultural and professional landscape. You will have a diverse and future focused set of capabilities at your disposal with a number of career pathways open to you. You could forge a career as a creative artist, an embedded creative, and/or as a law professional working in a specialised creative field relevant to your chosen major.

Through your Creative Arts studies, you will have advanced proficiency in at least one creative field, strengthened by the development of creative, critical and digital literacies and the practical experience of applying your skills in real world settings. Your Law studies will equip you with the the advanced knowledge and skills necessary not only legal practice, but also a broad range of careers that a legal education opens – in business, government and industry. You will gain not only the knowledge of the law, but also the skills such as research, communication and dispute resolution. You will learn and practise these skills throughout your degree. The elective units provide you with an opportunity to develop your knowledge in areas of the law that match your career aspirations.
