Course outline

Students gain expertise in construction engineering and the skills to be able to apply practical solutions to construction problems and work in some of the world’s most influential industries. The influence of civil engineering and construction management arms students with the professional skills to make a difference in the infrastructure of construction. Through the program, students develop skills in problem-solving analysis, engineering design and construction management as well as specialised skills in built environment, quantity surveying and building services design. Students gain the knowledge to solve problems in the workforce and produce the highest quality work. Knowledge of the planning, monitoring, technical, logistical, financial and legal aspects associated with building and construction projects prepares students for the professional role of their choice in building and construction or construction management. Practical and relevant courses allow students to experience work on construction projects and acquire professional accreditation from the Australian Institute of Building.
