Course outline

This degree will equip you with the practical skills, values, and knowledge to thrive in the evolving economy. In your first year, you’ll complete discovery subjects and learn core skills critical to successful business operations and apply them to practical challenges using the principles of sustainability, inclusiveness and equity. In your second year, you will be able to choose 1 or 2 majors from over 20 options, and have the choice to complete them online, so you can study wherever it suits you. You’ll have the opportunity to gain experience through a series of internships and placements where you’ll be able to apply your knowledge to practical business situations and problems. In your last year, you will develop the skills and knowledge to ensure that you graduate confident and ready for a successful career in business. Plus, every business student has the chance to participate in BusinessPLUS, which offers mentoring and workshops including networking and career mapping. Fast-track options are available by studying over three trimesters. Honours: After completing your first two trimesters, you can transfer into the Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours) subject to criteria.

Griffith offers a number of admission pathways to your preferred degree. If you don’t meet the minimum ATAR/selection rank for this degree, you may automatically be considered for a place in the Diploma of Business/Bachelor of Business. This means you may receive an offer into the Bachelor of Business which is conditional on successful completion of the Diploma of Business at Griffith University. Behavioural science; business analytics; employment relations; events; financial crime investigation and compliance; human resource management; innovation and entrepreneurship; international business; logistics and supply chain management; management; marketing; real estate and property development; sport management; tourism and travel. Languages are available as a second major: Chinese, French*, German*, Indonesian*, Italian, Japanese, Korean*, Modern Greek* and Spanish. *Via cross-institutional study.
