Course outline

In this degree, you’ll develop knowledge and skills in clinical and biological sciences, and understand how they can be applied to medicine, biomedical research and other healthcare professions. In your first year, you’ll be introduced to the basic sciences underpinning biomedical science. In your second and third years, you’ll explore more advanced aspects, including genetics, biochemistry, cell biology, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology and neuroscience. If you study on the Gold Coast, you’ll have a health focus, and explore health and the methods for researching, diagnosing and treating disease. If you study at Brisbane South (Nathan), you’ll have a science focus. You’ll learn how humans work at every level from our cells to the whole of our bodies, in addition to the methods for researching, diagnosing and treating disease. For more course information, visit Bachelor of Biomedical Science at GU Brisbane South (Nathan) or Bachelor of Biomedical Science at GU Gold Coast.
