Course outline

As a graduate of the double degree Bachelor of Architectural Design/Bachelor of Business you will have the skills and knowledge to enhance your career capabilities in the design, construction, and development industry.

The course will provide you with real life exposure to many aspects of the construction and design industries so you can develop the knowledge and practical skills that will prepare you for a rewarding career in the built environment. You will develop in depth knowledge of architectural design and the foundations of business practices to allow you to become a building designer and/or design practice administrator.

This course will equip you to meet future architectural challenges such as adapting to climate change and building resilient, healthy sustainable, inclusive, and just communities. You will learn to design and plan architectural and urban environments and manage, plan, and implement business practices and processes.

This course is covered by the QUT Offer Guarantee and Year 12 Early Offer Scheme.

Applicant must be 16; Completion of Year 12 or attained age 18 years

Assumed knowledge

English, or Literature, or English and Literature Extension, or English as an Additional Language (Units 3 & 4, C); and for accounting, behavioural economics, economics, finance, financial planning, and marketing majors – General Mathematics, or Mathematical Methods, or Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C)
