Course outline

An honours degree signals high achievement, quality and an advanced skill set, instantly recognisable in both the professional employment and academic arenas. Designed to deliver the skills critical to leadership, this degree will teach you to find solutions based on a wide range of perspectives, as you apply core business skills to 21st century challenges built on underpinning values of sustainability, economic inclusiveness and social progress. Your first year will include practical learning environments, cross-disciplinary teamwork and analysis, designed to deliver professional skills for leadership and the academic foundations. You’ll have more than 20 majors to choose from, as well as the opportunity to expand your skills beyond the classroom by taking a local or global research or internship experience. You may wish to combine two majors, according to your interests. You’ll also have access to BusinessPLUS, which offers mentoring and workshops including networking and career mapping. Accounting; Asian business; behavioural science; business analytics; economics; employment relations; events; finance; financial planning; human resource management; innovation and entrepreneurship; international business; logistics and supply chain management; management; marketing; political science and international relations; real estate and property development; sport management; sustainable business; taxation; tourism and travel. Languages are available as a second major or a minor: Chinese, French*, German*, Indonesian*, Italian, Japanese, Korean*, Modern Greek*, and Spanish. *Via cross-institutional study.

Applicants applying to commence in Trimester 3, 2023 also need to meet the following subject prerequisite: Any General or Applied English subject (Units 3 and 4, C).
