Students are prepared for practice as a solicitor or barrister in Queensland or for admission to the legal profession elsewhere in Australia. This degree also prepares students for careers in business, commerce and government. Students learn from lecturers with a wealth of experience in a diverse range of backgrounds, including criminal law, human rights, international and comparative law, family law, environmental law, property law and commercial law. Students apply their skills in UniSQ’s Wonderley and Hall Moot Court and can continue the learning journey in work integrated learning courses. Career opportunities

You will graduate as a qualified accountant able to pursue a career as a as a financial accountant, auditor, business advisor, CFO, management accountant, forensic accountant, tax advisor. These careers can be found in a wide range of organisations and industries such as public and private practise, financial institutions, and government. Solicitor or barrister, government law officer, in-house legal counsel, legal studies teacher (with further study), corporate sector, federal or state government employee, community organisations, non-government agencies.

Membership

The Bachelor of Accounting (BACT) provides Associate membership of CPA Australia, eligibility to study the CPA Australia professional exams and eligibility to study the CAANZ professional exams.
