Course outline

Students develop broad skills and knowledge in public health, while developing specialised expertise in health promotion and environmental health. Public health refers to a collection of disciplines that share a common aim to prevent disease, promote health and improve wellbeing among the population as a whole, rather than focusing on individuals. Students have the option to continue their studies and complete the Bachelor of Public Health (Specialisation), allowing them to further enhance their future career prospects. Note

Units at Rockhampton, Cairns, Bundaberg and Townsville are delivered by a combination of on-campus study, video connection and residential schools. Units are delivered in supported online mode and students attend on-campus residential schools in Rockhampton. Online study students may also be required to attend residential schools, depending on units selected. Flexible delivery: Most on-campus units are delivered by video connection to the Townsville campus from other CQU campuses. Other units are delivered in supported distance mode. Some units require all students to attend residential school on campus in Rockhampton. Some units require all students to attend residential school on campus in Rockhampton.
