Help improve people’s quality of life by becoming a qualified physiotherapist with a degree from UniSQ. Graduate career ready after completing a variety of industry placements with the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours). Learn from experienced academics and industry professionals to develop your critical thinking and practical skills.
During the five placement opportunities, you will gain experience in acute care, rehabilitation and community settings. Learn how to provide much-needed support to regional, rural and First Nations communities. Physiotherapy courses explore musculoskeletal health, neuroanatomy, digital health services, neurological and cardiopulmonary physiotherapy, chronic health conditions and paediatric physiotherapy. Choose between a project or research option (GPA dependent) in the honours pathway.
UniSQ’s Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) (BPTH) is accredited (with conditions) by the Australian Physiotherapy Council (APC). Graduates will be recognised by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (PBA) and will be eligible to apply for registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) to practice physiotherapy within Australia.

University of Southern Queensland

Note

Students will be required to undertake approximately five, five week full time clinical placements.

Other requirements

Applicants must be willing to undertake and submit to the requirements of the University of Southern Queensland and Queensland Health for practical placement.
It is expected that students will complete a rural placement experience as part of their clinical education.

Prerequisites

English, Literature, English and Literature Extension or English as an Additional Language (Units 3 and 4, C); One of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Physical Education or Mathematical Methods (Units 3 and 4, C); Completion of Year 12 or attained age 18 years
