Students gain broad scientific knowledge while building critical thinking, technical and communication skills. They begin with general science and non science courses before specialising in one of the wide range of science majors.

Students will gain practical experience in a range of laboratories, including wet, dry, clinical, and PC2/PC3 facilities, as well as animal diagnostic and training labs. They can tailor their study plan to suit their interests or career goals, with opportunities for fieldwork, research projects, internships, and international study experiences. They may also combine their science studies with complementary areas such as languages, communication, or design. Graduates are prepared for diverse careers across government, industry, environmental agencies, research organisations, hospitals, and community sectors.
