This four-year degree equips students with the scientific knowledge and practical skills to solve complex problems in agricultural systems across enterprises, landscapes and globally. Students develop paddock-ready scientific skills to adapt to future challenges as professionals, gaining understanding of the sustainability of agricultural systems including biophysical elements (soils, plants and animal production), environmental, social and economic principles. Graduates are positioned to become leaders in farm management, corporate roles and scientific research. High achievers have the option of undertaking Honours study within the fourth year, completing a research project and dissertation.
