This degree is a versatile and relevant business qualification for students interested in economics, business and finance, and who enjoy problem-solving and critical thinking. Students gain insights into the issues that are important for understanding the way the economic systems work, as well as for careers in business and government. This degree is an undergraduate program integrated with the protection and conservation of regional, rural and national environments. It provides graduates with a strong scientific understanding of local to global environmental issues and their management. The program offers a wide range of flexible learning opportunities to develop advanced scientific knowledge and field and laboratory skills related to ecological conservation, air, land, water, plant and wildlife management and protection.
Students engage and work with environmental practitioners, industry and regulators to solve contemporary problems with innovative solutions whilst gaining the core attributes to be job-ready in a wide range of careers. Local and international field trips provide valuable hands-on experience.
This degree provides opportunities for specialisation through majors in Applied management, Conservation and ecology, Natural resources, People and environment, and Vegetation and landscapes. The program allows a wide choice of minors in Botany, Data science and modelling, Geoscience, Global environments, Indigenous cultural studies, Science communication, Soils, Spatial science, Water science and Zoology.
