This degree will equip you with the conceptual and practical knowledge to begin a career in the visual arts. Working with accomplished artists, art historians and industry leaders at Griffith’s Queensland College of Art and Design (QCAD), you’ll learn how to navigate and succeed in the visual arts sector. Build your skills through courses in drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, jewellery and small objects and indigenous art and protocols. In your second year, you will specialise with a major in either painting, sculpture or photography. Learn in creative studio spaces, with access to world-class facilities like galleries and purpose-built studios. Graduate job ready by working with guest artists and curators, undertaking work placements, participating in exhibitions, masterclasses and study tours. Work on projects for real clients through our work-integrated program, LiveArt, producing commercial murals and public art installations.
