This course equips students with valuable skills to enable them to work with people of all ages who have communication or swallowing difficulties. Education and training includes a broad range of disciplines such as psychology, allied health, and linguistics and phonetics, designed to ensure students graduate work ready. Students will complete extensive work-integrated learning opportunities at CQUniversity’s Health Clinic, and off-campus at community and clinical sites in and outside of Queensland, where they will observe and work directly with children and adults with communication and/or swallowing difficulties. This allows students to consolidate the content and theory they learn in class with their developing clinical skills and gain valuable practical experience before entering the workforce.
