Course outline

Fostering healthy families and creating safe environments for children are key goals for communities. In the higher education diploma year, students develop fundamental academic skills and cement their knowledge in foundation subjects and core concepts. On successful completion of the diploma be ready to progress into the Griffith University Bachelor of Child Family and Youth Practice with 80 credit points. Subjects include: child and family wellbeing, child protection, education, ethics, human development and learning, interpersonal skills, leadership and practice in early years integrated services, and sociocultural understanding.
