Course outline

This diploma and degree provides a pathway to a career in physiotherapy. In the higher education diploma year, students develop fundamental academic skills and cement their knowledge in foundation subjects and core concepts skills needed for a career in health. On successful completion of the diploma be ready to progress into the Griffith University Bachelor of Physiotherapy with 40 credit points. Students take biomedical, physical and behavioural science courses as well as physiotherapy academic and clinical courses. This program provides an innovative, student-centred and employability-focused curriculum with a strong emphasis on client-centred and evidence-based practice, as well as experiential and inter-professional learning. Progression to the bachelor’s degree is limited to a quota of two places per intake and is based on student grades.
