Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronic) (Honours)
UniSC - University of the Sunshine Coast - Moreton Bay

Course outline

Students learn how to design, develop and maintain complex machines that require multiple technologies to function. They learn the fundamentals of mechanical engineering (to develop the structure and mechanisms of the device), electronic engineering (to develop the sensors and control for automation), and computer engineering (to provide operative programming to integrate the components for effective control and actuation). These devices could be as simple as a domestic microwave oven to the futuristic self-drive vehicles or interactive robots. To be effective in a multi-disciplinary engineering team, students learn the fundamental theories, standards and code of practice, and develop advanced problem solving, communication and project management skills. For more information, visit Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronic) (Honours) at UniSC – University of the Sunshine Coast.

Other requirements

Students must complete 60 days of suitable field experience. The Inherent Academic Requirements of a program are those fundamental skills, capabilities and knowledge that students must be able to demonstrate in order to achieve the essential learning outcomes of the program, while maintaining the academic integrity of that program.
