This course is accredited with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA).
The course includes 70 days of supervised school experience in block placements of four to six weeks and 10 days of online professional experience. Students must complete a number of requirements prior to undertaking a professional experience placement; refer to institution for details. In Queensland, a Blue Card is required. Teacher education students must pass the National Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students before their final-year professional experience placement; visit Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students Fact Sheet for more information. Students must also complete a Teaching Performance Assessment during their final professional experience placement.
