Course outline

As a graduate, you are supported by specialist academics and experience real-world opportunities that prepares you to teach. Professional experience placements provide the opportunity to work in real educational settings, supervised by practising professional educators.

You must take the majority of your professional experience in Australian primary schools. Primary graduates are prepared to teach in diverse primary school settings.

Prerequisites

English, Literature, English and Literature Extension or English as an Additional Language (Units 3 and 4, C); General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods or Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 and 4, C); Any General subject from the Sciences Learning Area (Units 3 and 4, C); Applicant must be 16; Completion of Year 12 or attained age 18 years; LANTITE Literacy status; LANTITE Numeracy status; Teaching Personal Statement

Applicants who have failed two or more attempts of either component of the National Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students, and have not passed it in a later attempt, are not eligible for entry.
