Course outline

SAE Audio graduates have been involved with many outstanding production companies, studios, live venues and radio broadcasters, including Forester Savile, Count Bounce, Michael Stavrou, Labsonics, Post Studio, Black Pearl Studios, Sing Studios, Woodstock Studios, Prince of Wales Hotel, Revolver, J-Air Community Radio Station and Soundcorp.

Areas of study: Audio terminology, sound theory, microphone theory, techniques and practical application, recording studio signal flow, mixing techniques,critical listening, digital audio workstations (DAW), signal processing, audio technology, live sound reinforcement and av systems, interactive audio, music principles, audio for screen, emerging technology, immersive audio, project management, business and leadership skills, employability skills in audio industry contexts, audio industry best practices.

Note

Duration is two years full-time. Part-time study available for eligible applicants (excluding international student visa holders).
SAE has a range of approaches to learning and teaching that can be activated to provide flexibility in the face of changing circumstances as required, to support student progression regardless of external factors.
