About

Bond University offers a personalised academic environment that produces globally minded, work-ready graduates who stand out in their chosen careers and industries. Ranked #1 in Australia for student experience for 16 consecutive years according to the Good Universities Guide, our students are at the heart of everything we do – reflected by our small class sizes, focus on individual attention, and close-knit cohort of ‘Bondies’.

As an independent, not-for-profit institution, all tuition fees are reinvested back into the University to build world-class facilities, support innovative degrees, and ensure that every student who passes through our doors has an unforgettable university experience.

Accelerated programs

At Bond, we operate on a three-semester-per-year timetable that allows students to accelerate their studies, completing the average six-semester bachelor’s degree in just two years. This gives Bond graduates a valuable head start in the competitive careers market – permitting them to enter industry and start enacting change sooner. We offer a range of diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programs spanning the study areas of actuarial science and data analytics; architecture; business, commerce and entrepreneurship; communication, film and creative media; construction, property and planning; health, biomedical and sports sciences; international relations, politics and arts; law; medicine; project management and innovation; and psychology, criminology and social sciences. Explore our latest program and faculty guides at bond.edu.au/view-our-brochures.

The Core curriculum

Embedded in every undergraduate degree at Bond, our Core curriculum is designed to prepare students not just for a successful career, but to be socially responsible, compassionate and independent leaders. The Core curriculum consists of four compulsory subjects spanning critical thinking, collaboration, responsibility and integrity, and Beyond Bond, a professional development program that helps students transition seamlessly from university to the workplace.

Our international community

Bond students come from over 90 countries, and after graduation, may decide to return home, live abroad, or continue to enjoy life in Australia. We are a CRICOS-registered provider (00017B) and welcome international applications for all CRICOS registered programs, with the exception of the Bond Medical Program, which is only accessible to international students via pathway from Bond’s Bachelor of Biomedical Science.

Applying to Bond

We administer our own admission for all programs except the Bachelor of Medical Studies (BMedSt) and the Doctor of Medicine (MD) [the Bond Medical Program]. Admission to this course is administered by QTAC.

For all other programs, students can apply directly to Bond through our free, quick-to-complete online application form and receive an offer direct from us if successful. Visit bond.edu.au/apply for more information and to begin your application or learn more about the Medical Program in the Direct Entry Institutions section of this guide.

A range of criteria may be applied when assessing applicant eligibility for admission to Bond. Our early offer system means that applicants still completing Year 12 can receive conditional entry based on their Year 11 results and first-semester results from Year 12. You can enrol in your program of choice when you receive the minimum required score (as stated in your offer letter) upon completing Year 12. We also recognise a range of other post-secondary qualifications for admission, including the AQF Certificate IV or the successful completion of a semester of a bachelor’s degree. If you do not meet the criteria for entry into your preferred program, pathway opportunities may be available. Get in touch with us via bond.edu.au/contact for more information and to speak to someone about your circumstances.

If you are an international student, visit bond.edu.au/bond-international for more information on the international application process.

Admission criteria

Bond University applies a range of criteria when assessing the eligibility of its applicants.

If you are completing Year 12 and want an early offer to study at Bond University, we will assess your application using your full Year 11 results and your Year 12 semester 1 results. Early offers are issued from June. If you qualify, you will receive an offer from Bond with the condition of successfully completing high school. This means that you can receive an offer to study at Bond in 2023 before final ATAR results are released, providing certainty about your future study options.

Bond’s ATAR and IB score requirements for all its undergraduate diploma and bachelor programs are specified for each program.

If you have completed your secondary school qualification you can use your ATAR or IB score (or equivalent) to apply for study at Bond.

When you search for your program, you will find the minimum entry score for your program. Some programs may also require the completion of pre-requisite subjects, a portfolio submission, or additional selection criteria – you will find all this detail on the program’s webpage.

Bond also recognises a range of other post-secondary qualifications for admission, such as an AQF Certificate IV or higher from a recognised provider, or the successful completion of a semester of a bachelor’s degree.

If you do not meet the criteria for entry into your preferred program, Bond will assess you for an admission pathway. A pathway gives you an opportunity to meet the criteria of your chosen program.

Bond may also apply adjustment factors  for Year 12 students towards an ATAR or IB score to increase the selection rank.

For more information about admissions criteria, visit the Bond University website.

International Students

Bond University is a CRICOS registered provider (00017B) and welcomes international student applications for all CRICOS-registered programs except the Bond Medical Program, which is only available to international students via the Bachelor of Biomedical Science pathway.
