Take your career in travel and tourism to the next level with this diploma course that will qualify you to work as a travel or tourism manager. Travel and tourism is one of the largest and resilient industries in the world and employers are looking for qualified candidates who provide good customer service, have strong people skills, and are well presented. TAFE Queensland’s industry-expert teachers will ensure you are ready to jump aboard the travel and tourism industry with hands-on and theoretical knowledge gained in the workplace and our state-of-the-art facilities using the latest industry software. This course will give you the skills you need to manage budgets, lead and manage people, plan e-marketing strategies, and sell tourism products and services.

The online virtual classroom study option offered through TAFE Queensland, South Bank (555655) is designed for people with prior service industry experience. A course content expert from TAFE Queensland, South Bank will make contact with successful applicants to arrange a professional conversation (over a virtual platform). At this meeting readiness requirements to participate in the course prior to it’s start of study will be discussed including Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and credit transfer opportunities. The professional conversation will need to occur prior to finalising enrolment.

Prerequisites

Completion of Year 12 or attained Year 12 leaving age

Successful completion of a Certificate II or III in Tourism, Certificate III in Travel, Certificate III in Events or a Certificate III in Hospitality.
