Course outline

As a graduate, you are skilled in developing and delivering health initiatives that focus on improving the health and wellbeing of whole populations in areas such as health promotion, disease prevention, policy development, and environmental practices.

You complete studies in sociology, epidemiology, communication, statistics and evaluation, before choosing electives in the areas of community nutrition, Indigenous studies, family and gender studies, science, general psychology, counselling, or other approved electives.

You can also tailor the program with further study for a career as a registered environmental health officer or occupational health and safety officer. Local, rural and overseas placements are available.
