This program prepares students for careers in the wine industry, including grape growing and wine making, management and marketing of a wine business or research into grape or wine production methods. Students are equipped with broad knowledge of the underlying scientific principles and practices of viticulture production and wine sensory analysis combined with intensive, real-world practical experience gained on commercial premises. Students have the option of choosing a second area of specialisation to complement their science major and create a program that best suits them. For more program information, visit Bachelor of Science – Wine Science at UniSQ.
The wine science major is not available fully on-campus or fully by external study. To complete the program, students need to undertake courses in a mix of external and on-campus modes.
For additional information about the admissions criteria for the University of Southern Queensland and for this course, refer to UniSQ’s website.
