Learn about the universe and understand more about the science and physics at work in the world around us. This course combines the fascination of astronomy with the opportunity to develop in-demand expertise in physics, mathematics, statistics, computing and data science. Learn from internationally recognised stellar astronomy and planetary systems experts and access UniSQ’s advanced research facilities, including Mount Kent Observatory, scientific computing software and support, and overseas telescopes available through UniSQ’s international collaborations in astrophysics. Students studying externally are supported by online classes, remote access to UniSQ facilities, and residential schools where appropriate. Some of the courses available are astronomy, physics, modern physics, astronomical techniques, optics, planetary and exoplanetary science, quantum mechanics, solar and stellar astronomy, photonics, and galactic and extragalactic astronomy. Complementary studies are also offered in areas such as mathematics, science and computing. For more program information, visit Bachelor of Science – Astronomical and Space Sciences at UniSQ.
Students will need to attend residential schools.
