If you love travel, have good communication skills and are looking for a diverse, energetic career where you don’t have to work 9 to 5, tourism could be the choice for you. This degree provides highly motivated students the opportunity to develop core business skills in areas such as financial management, leadership and management, and enhance these with an understanding of how to manage employment relations in a culturally diverse context. In your first three years, you’ll gain an in-depth understanding of the tourism sector, underscored by sustainability principles – core to modern business practice. In your fourth year, you will acquire high-level research skills and take a deeper dive into the topic of your choice. You’ll also have opportunities to study abroad or complete an internship, all designed to enrich your skills and help prepare you for the future world of work. You’ll have access to BusinessPLUS, which offers mentoring, networking and career mapping workshops. Plus, you will be studying with a university that is ranked #1 in Australia for Hospitality and Tourism Management by the 2022 Shanghai Global Rankings of Academic Subjects.
