Course outline

The Diploma in Architectural Studies at QUT College equips you with foundational knowledge and skills for addressing future architectural challenges such as adapting to climate change and building resilient, healthy and sustainable communities. You will learn fundamental concepts regarding the creation of architectural environments that have positive impacts on human health, environmental quality, social relationships and urban systems. Upon successful completion of the Diploma, you will be able to articulate into the Bachelor of Built Environment (Honours) (Interior Design or Landscape Architecture) with 96 credit points of advanced standing.

You will then gain real life exposure to a range of built environment and urban development disciplines so you can build the knowledge and practical skills that will prepare you for a rewarding career in your chosen field. Your major will provide you with in depth knowledge and expertise in a built environment or urban development discipline.

Combined diploma/degrees

Upon completion of this diploma, you will be automatically offered a place in the Bachelor of Built Environment (Honours) (Interior Design or Landscape Architecture). Your completed diploma will provide 96 credit points (1 year) advanced standing to the degree.
