Course outline

The Bachelor of Science (Marine Systems) provides a strong foundation in science, including field and laboratory experimentation and analytical techniques, as well as socioecological systems, management and critical thinking. The Marine Systems specialisation builds on introductory earth systems knowledge with units at our National Marine Science Centre. These cover oceanography, marine ecology, fish and aquaculture, reefs, fisheries and marine parks management. Elective units include marine megafauna, ocean change biology, drone technology and spacial analysis, and coastal fluvial hydrodynamics. This course can also be studied online.
