Course outline

This program examines organisational and technological issues required to analyse and design business information systems.

Throughout the program, you will develop an understanding of organisational settings, recognising technology threats and opportunities, utilising modern principles and theories with practical applications.

Subjects such as information security, multimedia, knowledge management, databases and emerging technologies in business will help you become familiar with the latest developments in IT, as well as different types of tools and their applications.

Electives will compliment your IT degree, allowing you to build your business acumen with subjects including the theory and practice of managing people to build knowledge and understanding of workplace behaviour.

Note

To help you get the most from your online learning experience, it’s important that you own or have frequent access to a fast and reliable computer that’s ideally not more than two years old.

You will also need frequent access to a reliable high-speed internet connection. You should expect to use approximately 5GB of data each month, per course, just for study use.

Admissions Criteria

Entry Requirements (Year 12) English, Literature, English and Extnsion or English as an Additional Language (Units 3 and 4, C), Applicant must be 16.
Entry Requirements (Non Year 12) completion of a VET qualification at a Certificate III level or higher
