This program gives students the skills, knowledge and experience for a stimulating and rewarding career as a teacher. Students learn to design and deliver effective teaching programs for a diverse range of learners. Core courses prepare students for their area of specialisation in early childhood, primary or secondary teaching and help to deliver graduates who are prepared and confident in their teaching ability. Students study with professionals who have experience in the classroom and learn in a flexible, engaging and dynamic environment. Students specialising in secondary schooling can choose from a range of teaching areas and students in all majors participate in supervised professional experience. For more program information, visit Education and Teaching at USQ.
A Blue Card or Exemption Card is required; refer to institution. Students undertaking an Initial Teacher Education (ITE) program are expected to undertake and meet the benchmark in the Personal Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Educators.
