- Have a look for the courses you like and make a list that has at least two choices but build it out to have your top 6.
- Begin your application so you can validate your identity and build one tertiary application that will work for any of the institutes you can apply to through the QTAC site.
- Learn your dates so you can participate in an offer round. Check out the institution’s (key dates) you’d like offers from here and important dates they can make an offer to you in (offer rounds) and the fixed dates that indicate your course application closing dates.
Preferencing your top 6
It’s like building out your plan A, B and C. You use preferencing to ensure you have the best chance to go where you’d like to first. We can explain it in more detail at our webinar or if you contact us, but in summary:
Apply for up to 6 course preferences with 1 simple online application with QTAC.
Ordering your preferences in the correct order is important as you can only be considered for 1 offer at a time for your highest eligible preference.
It’s ok to change your mind. You can change your preference 3 times free of charge once your application is lodged.
You can even change your course preferences after you have received an offer.
