The Undergraduate Certificate in Health Promotion foundations is for those looking for an introduction to a career in promoting the health and wellbeing of people at individual, community and whole of
population levels. It is designed to develop knowledge and skills in the fundamentals of health promotion required to design, implement and evaluate evidence-based health promotion strategies that improve the
health and wellbeing of people. You will learn about the development and principles of health promotion, Australian health system, comprehensive primary healthcare approach, determinants of health and wellbeing of people, health inequities and inequalities, and how to undertake a community health and wellbeing assessment and plan health promotion action. Promotion Foundations provides a direct pathway to the Bachelor of Health Science with a major in Applied Health Promotion and other public health extended majors at UniSC – University of the Sunshine Coast.
