Course outline

This course is perfect for people pursuing a career in the crime and justice sector. This course equips students with the advanced skills to work effectively within the crime and justice sector. Students will develop an innovative understanding of justice-related areas including legislation and legal frameworks, social justice, crime and corrections. This course has been designed in conjunction with industry practitioners from the Queensland Police Service, The Department of Justice and Attorney General, Australian Federal Police, Queensland Corrective Services, Brisbane City Council and Australian Border Force.

Prerequisites

Completion of Year 12 or attained Year 12 leaving age

Assumed knowledge

English (Units 3 and 4, C) or successful completion of a Certificate IV in Justice Studies or similar level qualification. Successful applicants may be required to complete the Certificate IV in Justice Studies or equivalent before progressing to the diploma.
