Course outline

Prepare to lead organisations and individuals in safe working practices, injury prevention and developing a workplace safety culture. Learn the latest and most relevant training and education in health and safety to graduate as confident and competent health and safety paraprofessionals ready to be employed in health safety decision making and management. Students will develop knowledge, attitudes, skills and initiatives in the safety science disciplines of ergonomics, human factors, accident investigation and occupational health and safety management. During this course, students will be provided opportunities to practically apply their learning, including participation in supervised worksite visits and will graduate with up-to-date skills and knowledge. Prerequisites

English, Literature, English and Literature Extension or English as an Additional Language (Units 3 and 4, C); Completion of Year 12 or attained age 17 years
