Tertiary Prerequisites

Tertiary Prerequisites is written to help you and the people who advise you, make your trek towards tertiary study easier, more realistic, and ultimately more effective.

The book is a great resource that will assist you in exploring the courses available through QTAC's participating institutions. Tertiary Prerequisites provides an overview of the courses that institutions expect to be available when the student is applying in Year 12 and provides details of the requirements for entry to those courses. The prerequisites listed are subjects that should be studied in Years 11 and 12 and are linked to the exit assessment levels required at the end of senior study.

QTAC sends a complimentary copy of this publication to all Year 10 students in Queensland each year. Tertiary Prerequisites 2010 will be distributed from 4 May 2010 to schools.

Important Information - Correction to Tertiary Prerequisites 2013

Please note that the book, Tertiary Prerequisites 2013 has errors on pages 67 and 69. The error occurred in making a late change to the publication after it had gone to the printers.

Page 67 is missing the Maths B (4,SA) prerequisite from the University of Queensland's Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety Science program. Page 69 mistakenly replicates most of the information on page 67.

The correct page 69 is located on the last page of the QTAC Update Issue 1 2010.  A pdf of page 69 is also available. (see below).
