Christian Heritage College (CHC) was established in 1986 to offer a Christian alternative in higher education. Today we represent a close-knit student community exceeding 950. A place where lives are transformed and people are equipped to make a difference to the world around them, CHC provides a combination of academic excellence while maintaining a commitment to Christian truth.
Recent data shows CHC graduates are sought after by employers. CHC graduates consistently rate their course experience as amongst the nation’s best with extremely high satisfaction rates. Smaller class sizes mean that staff know students by name and the ‘open door’ policy provides for authentic and meaningful interaction. Staff wholeheartedly embrace the CHC vision and provide quality one-on-one advice, support and encouragement to students in their personal, spiritual and academic development. The atmosphere of inclusion and shared aspirations makes life at CHC a rewarding experience, with many students continuing their association with the CHC community long after they graduate.
CHC is nestled in Brisbane’s south-east, only 10km from the city centre. There is convenient public transport within walking distance and bicycle and walking paths link the campus to surrounding suburbs. CHC also offers plenty of free parking.
Application is through QTAC, except for undergraduate counselling and postgraduate courses where application is made directly to CHC. Entry usually requires Year 12 or equivalent, but CHC does not use OPs as the sole indicators of entry eligibility. For entry to certain courses, we may request referees, a personal statement and in some cases an interview.
Commonwealth support
CHC has Commonwealth supported places available in all its undergraduate education courses including the graduate entry course. HECS-HELP is available to eligible Commonwealth supported students. FEE-HELP is available for all other courses. Contact Christian Heritage College for information.
Student Facilities
Students enjoy the ease of wireless Internet connection. Individual space is also designated on the student server to provide easy access to documents and research while on campus.
Library
The newly extended library is the hub of the CHC community. Computer labs, seminar rooms and large open research spaces encourage learning. The library holds a significant collection of research materials and is equipped with study areas, computers and Internet access.
Student recreational area
A place to relax, this air-conditioned area contains a kitchen with tea and coffee facilities, microwaves, fridges, pool table, Internet access, vending machines, and a large screen TV. The onsite Rivers Café is also a favourite student meeting place.
