Building Trades Australia (BTA) is a Queensland family owned and operated, registered provider of vocational education and training. BTA offers nationally-accredited certificate to advanced diploma qualifications in building and construction, carpentry, wall and floor tiling, painting and decorating, bricklaying, business, management, and marketing.

Apprenticeships are not required to obtain accredited AQF trade qualifications through BTA's Benchmark Training. Benchmark Training is designed to provide graduates with professional knowledge, skills and industry experience as fast as possible, while maintaining strict focus on quality training standards and alignment to the learning styles preferred by today's students. Many BTA qualifications include VPT hours that can count towards BSA trade licence experience requirements.

Sustainable building and construction is important now and for the future of the industry in Australia. BTA incorporates sustainable methodologies into the curriculum to better prepare graduates to practise sustainability within trades. Qualified trades skills are a recognised national skill shortage, and are set to remain in strong demand across Australia.

Full-time and part-time flexible training is available via Fast Track Training, Distance and E-learning, VET In-School (Years 10-12), Recognition of Prior Learning, and Vocational Placement Training.

Distance and E-learning (DEL)

Courses can incorporate DEL to facilitate self-paced learning via the Internet.

Vocational Placement Training (VPT)

BTA can provide a minimum of 240 vocational training hours that apply toward BTA qualifications and Building Services Australia (BSA) trade licence experience requirements.

Fast Track Training (FTT)

Achieve nationally recognised AQF trade qualifications in 12 months and diplomas in six months.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Receive credit toward qualifications for knowledge and skills obtained on the job or from past experience.
