QTAC Update
The QTAC Update is a brief QTAC publication for schools, institutions and other relevant educational bodies to assist them in providing information to applicants on topical tertiary entry issues and the latest changes to application information. The publication is usually produced three times a year, the first issue reviews the previous major application period, and the latter issues inform of the latest changes to tertiary entry information.

Information for Qld 2010 Year 12 students who will not be eligible for an OP (with 2009 data)
Students who complete Queensland Year 12 and do not qualify for an OP can still gain entry to courses offered at tertiary institutions participating in QTAC.
Since the inception of OP ineligible schedules, QTAC has sought improved data through longitudinal studies and advice provided by the QSA on which to base the development of these schedules. Over the last year, QTAC has worked with QSA and the tertiary institutions to explore new opportunities to provide a more specific, comprehensive and defensible set of schedules for the OP ineligible cohort.
This has culminated in the development of schedules which aim to provide a more comprehensive score better reflecting the breadth and level of students’ academic achievements, and avoid advantage or disadvantage to any group of applicants. View more...
OP ineligible Estimator
QTAC’s OP ineligible Estimator assists you to estimate the OP ineligible rank that may be allocated to a Queensland Year 12 student's Senior studies if they do not qualify for an OP.
Disclaimer: Results produced by the Estimator are intended as a guide only. The ranks shown in the schedules and the numerical equivalents are based on Queensland Senior studies completed in 2009. These are not the schedules that will be used for OP ineligible students completing Year 12 in 2010. These indicative schedules are designed to provide a guide only for students finishing Year 12 in 2010. Both the ranks shown and the numerical equivalents will change for 2010 dependent upon actual Year 12 achievement patterns.

ALERT - Tertiary Prerequisites 2013 correction
Please note that Tertiary Prerequisites 2013 has errors on pages 67 and 69. The error occurred in making a late change to the publication after it had gone to the printers.
Page 67 is missing the Maths B (4,SA) prerequisite from the University of Queensland's Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety Science program. Page 69 mistakenly replicates most of the information on page 67.
The correct page 69 is located on the last page of the QTAC Update Issue 1 2010 (see above). A pdf of page 69 is also available. (see below).

Student Advisers' Tertiary Course List
The Student Advisers' Tertiary Course List is a supplement to the QTAC Guide. The publication contains a summary of course information, providing a ready-reference for counsellors assisting students. It also contains OP/selection rank cut-offs for courses covering the two previous admissions periods, so that advisers can have a quick reference to current movements in cut-offs. As the publication is designed to be read in conjunction with the QTAC Guide, it does not contain recommended studies, and course details and footnotes have been kept to a minimum.
Please note, all of the course information contained in this publication can be easily accessed via the Course Search function on this website. As such, this is the last year in which the Student Advisers' Tertiary Course List will be produced
