QTAC offers a range of other services to assist with tertiary entry.
UQ Medicine - Graduate entry
The University of Queensland conducts a four year graduate entry medical program, the Doctor of Medicine (MD). QTAC is processing these applications for the Graduate entry MD program. For more information, see UQ Medicine Graduate entry.
When preparing for your tertiary application, or for use in job applications, you might like to obtain an assessment of your current qualifications or experience. QTAC's Assessment of Qualifications Service will provide you with a statement to help you judge if you are likely to qualify for tertiary study and assist with your QTAC application.
Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT)
The Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) is a two-hour aptitude test that can assist you to demonstrate your potential for tertiary study and helps tertiary institutions in making their selection decisions. The test is widely accepted and used by most tertiary institutions in Queensland and many others throughout Australia. See STAT for more information.
Registering for the STAT
QTAC administers the STAT in Queensland. If you apply for tertiary study in Queensland you simply nominate to sit the STAT on your QTAC Application. If you wish to sit STAT for employment purposes or for a future QTAC application, please nominate via the online service. See STAT for details.
QTAC administers sittings for the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) at our office in South Brisbane as well as other venues in Queensland. Please note that STAT results can take a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks to be received at QTAC and applicants should allow sufficient time to have results available for offer rounds when choosing their STAT sitting. Personal Competencies Assessment and Special Tertiary Admissions Test Preparation Workshops
QTAC runs workshops for current and prospective QTAC applicants requiring assistance with preparation for the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) or with the Personal Competencies Assessment (PCA). can attend specialist PCA or STAT preparation workshops.
School Talks and Tertiary Seminars - Schools and Institutions
QTAC runs workshops for school guidance counsellors and tertiary institution personnel. QTAC's Tertiary Entrance Process Seminars aim to familiarise participants with QTAC timelines and outcomes.
Experienced QTAC staff conduct talks at schools, tailored to their requirements. Sessions will cover topics such as QTAC applications, tertiary pathways and QTAC selection ranks allocated to VET studies.
