Contact QTAC nowDisabling Pop-up blockers
When I try accessing QTAC's Online Services, I get a message saying "Your computer has a pop-up blocker". What should I do?
This message indicates you may be running a program such as 'AdZapper' or 'Pop-up killer' to block pop-up messages. These programs may prevent you from using QTAC's Online Services. You need to temporarily disable the program in order to access QTAC's Online Services. Instructions to do this are listed below for some of the common pop-up blockers:
Microsoft Windows XP - Pop-up Blocker
Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 contains an in-built pop-up blocker program. To put QTAC in the safe list and allow QTAC's Online Service to load, open Internet Explorer, select the Tools menu and then select Internet Options. Go to the Privacy tab and take note of the "Pop-up Blocker" section at the bottom of this screen. Click on the Settings button and add www.qtac.edu.au as the Address of Web Site to Allow. Click on the Refresh button in the toolbar before re-attempting to access QTAC's Online Services.
If you are running Internet Explorer 7, you should be able to turn the pop-up blocker on and off via the Privacy tab in Internet Options.
Netscape - Pop-up
Netscape contains built in anti-pop-up software. To put QTAC in the safe list and allow the Online Services to load, Open Netscape, click on the Edit menu, then select Preferences. Expand the Privacy & Security category and then click on the Pop-up Windows sub-category. Click on the Allowed Sites button and add the URL www.qtac.edu.au to the list of allowed sites then click on the Add button. Click on the Reload button in the toolbar before re-attempting to access QTAC's Online Services.
Google - Pop-up Blocker
If Google's Pop-up blocker is enabled, click on the "# blocked" button in the toolbar to allow QTAC's Online Services to be accessed. Once clicked, the button should read "Site pop-ups allowed". Click on the Refresh button in the toolbar before re-attempting to access QTAC's Online Services.
Nine MSN
If Nine MSN's Pop-up blocker is enabled, click on the arrow to the left of "Pop-ups Blocked" button and click on "Allow Pop-ups for this Site". Click on the Refresh button in the toolbar before re-attempting to access QTAC's Online Services.
AdZapper
Click on the AdZapper button in your toolbar and select Allow Pop-ups on this Site. Click Yes to allow pop-ups from QTAC. Click on the Refresh button in the toolbar before re-attempting to access QTAC's Online Services.
