Course outline: Students develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed to become successful secondary teachers. They are encouraged to be independent learners who are able to adapt efficiently and constructively to meet the changes which occur in the teaching profession. For external study contact UNE Student Centre.
Post-admission requirements: All students are required to declare whether they are a prohibited person by completing a Prohibited Employment Declaration with their UNE enrolment form. In Queensland, a Suitability Card is required, refer to institution. In NSW, a criminal record check is required, refer to institution. Students are required to complete 60 days of supervised professional experience. Students have the option to select an elective unit which will provide them with an additional 20 days of professional experience.
