Course outline: In the diploma students gain basic accounting skills and learn how to prepare income tax returns, manage budgets and forecasts, prepare financial reports, implement and maintain internal control procedures, and provide management accounting information. In the degree component students learn managerial functions, skills and methods and gain an appreciation of the social, political and economic contexts, in which decision-making occurs.
Majors: Accounting; banking; finance; and financial planning and economics.
Career opportunities: Administrator, auditor, business manager, commercial, financial, management and taxation law accountant, economist, financier, insurance and superannuation officer.
