Course outline: This program offers an introduction to the discipline of psychology. It explores topics such as the biological basis of behaviour, sensation and perception, learning memory, language, intelligence, motivation, lifelong development, stress and health, social behaviour, and psychological disorders. The program is accredited by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) as the equivalent of three years university training in psychology.

Career opportunities: Counselling and human services, and with further studies professional practice of psychology.
Registration: To gain registration with the Psychologist's Board of Queensland, students complete a further two years of either approved postgraduate study or supervised on-the-job training.
