Course outline: This degree is for students who want work in mainstream journalism, initially as a reporter in newspapers, radio or television. Based on extensive industry consultation, in response to demands of editors and news directors, it is designed to produce ethical journalists with a good understanding of the important institutions and traditions of society along with a solid understanding of the theory and practice of journalism. The course includes a reporting specialisation as well as an exit-level practicum where students get intensive internship or project experience.
