Course outline: This degree develops the skills to identify and respond to the needs of children and create effective programs and learning environments for young children. It builds a strong base in health and its management and then proceeds to specialist subjects, including supervised practical and applied research in childcare. Supervised professional practice enables students to apply and refine their skills in the care of children in a service delivery context. Some subjects such as the practicum require the coordinator's approval. Graduates meet accreditation requirements set by the State Government's Office of Child Care for director or group leader in a day care or occasional care centre or coordinator of a family day care scheme.
Other course requirements: A Suitability Card is required, refer to institution.
Fees: $3120 per subject (full course - 24 subjects). For more information on fees, refer to institution.
Career opportunities: Childcare centres, kindergartens, community-based children's organisations, director of children's activities, after school care, nanny.
Combined degrees: Bond University undergraduate programs can be combined with any other Bond University undergraduate degree program. Should you wish to enrol in a combined program, choose the QTAC code of the Bond degree that is your primary area of study and inform the Bond University Admissions Manager during your interview.
