Christian Heritage College
CHC's LAUNCH is a program for students in Year 12 to undertake introductory studies at CHC. Success in the scheme guarantees entry to CHC. (Additional entry requirements may apply for some courses). Applicants must be in semester 2 of Year 11 or in Year 12 in a designated partnership school, be recommended by their school, and have the support of their parent/guardian. CHC's Headmaster’s Recommendation Scheme selects applicants on their potential for success at CHC and provides an OP/QTAC selection rank bonus. Applicants must be in Year 12 in a designated partnership school.
CHC's Mature Age Admission Scheme provides for admission to undergraduate courses based on the applicant’s relevant life/work experience and maturity. Applicants should contact CHC for further information. This scheme considers mature-age applicants who have not completed a formal qualification.
CHC's Partnership School Bonus Scheme offers applicants who qualify bonus points towards their QTAC application, the equivalent of 1 OP point or 2 QTAC selection ranks. Applicants must be in Year 12 in a designated partnership school.
Griffith University
Griffith Connect Admissions Scheme Logan Campus ensures that Year 12 students at a Partnership School are given some preference in the allocation of places at the Logan campus. The scheme applies to students completing Year 12 in a designated Partnership School for admission to a bachelor’s degree at the Logan campus.
Queensland University of Technology
QUT' s START QUT is an enhanced studies program that offers university experience and preferential entry for Year 12 students undertaking Queensland Year 12, NSW High School Certificate, International Baccalaureate, and/or Accelerated Christian Education (or equivalent) programs. To participate in the program during Year 12, students must be recommended by their school and have parent/guardian support. Students who successfully complete two university-level subjects will receive guaranteed entry to selected QUT courses following completion of Year 12. Southern Cross University
SCU's Elite Athlete Program supports athletes competing at a national or international level to achieve their academic goals while continuing to meet the demands of an often vigorous training and competition regime. The University of Queensland
The UQ Enhanced Studies Program (ESP) provides high achieving secondary school students with an opportunity to extend their studies in an area of interest and to ‘test drive’ university life. Students accepted into the program can study one course (subject) during semester one of Year 12. Students can choose courses from a variety of study areas including animal studies, mathematics, history, philosophy, economics, accounting, psychology, law, languages, music and political science. Students who successfully complete the program will be eligible to receive one bonus point towards their university entry rank through UQ’s Bonus Rank Scheme. Students who later enrol in a relevant UQ degree may receive credit for their completed course. ESP study also counts towards students’ Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). The UQ Aerospace Gateway Scheme (AGS) enables direct entry for high achieving students of the Aerospace Gateway Schools into the Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Information Technology at The University of Queensland. University of New England
UNE's Early Entry Scheme selects applicants on their potential for success at university. Recommendations from teachers and school staff form a major component of the selection criteria. University of Southern Queensland
USQ's Headstart program is available for current Year 11 and 12 students who would like to undertake university study. Applicants must have a “B” average on their latest report card and have permission from their parent/caregiver and approval from their school principal. Applicants gain university experience, academic credit towards future study in a related USQ program, guaranteed entry to USQ (provided they meet prerequisite subjects) and discounted fee structure.
University of the Sunshine Coast
USC's Headstart program is a transition program that gives students the opportunity to complete two USC courses. Successful completion of Headstart courses offers guaranteed entry to USC if subject prerequisites are met and academic credit in related USC programs. USC's Tertiary Preparation Pathway Educational Access Grant recognises that some Tertiary Preparation Pathway (TPP) applicants may experience on-going financial hardship which could deter them from applying for the program. As a result USC will identify students that may be eligible for a grant to assist with the cost of the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) application fee, from information provided in the applicant's Educational Access Scheme application which forms part of the on-line QTAC application.
USC's Disadvantaged School Bonus scheme is for applicants who are current school leavers from disadvantaged schools, as determined by the University, and who are not eligible for the Regional Preference Scheme. Applicants are awarded a bonus of one (1) OP point or two (2) QTAC selection ranks.
USC's Smith Family Bonus: Applicants who are participants in the Smith Family Learning for Life program, who are not eligible for either the Regional Preference Scheme or the Disadvantaged School Bonus (see above) are awarded a bonus of one (1) OP point or two (2) QTAC selection ranks.
USC's Elite Athlete Bonus scheme awards applicants who are elite athletes a bonus of up to three (3) OP points or six (6) QTAC selection ranks.
