These circumstances may relate to one or more of the following EAS categories:
- disrupted schooling

Applying for EAS
You can apply for EAS as part of your QTAC application. If you indicate in your QTAC application that you wish to be considered for EAS you will need to select which categories of EAS apply to your circumstances by ticking the relevant boxes. At the end of your application you should print a cover sheet for each category of EAS you have nominated. EAS cover sheets contain questions that you MUST answer and indicates what you MUST provide to QTAC for your EAS application to be considered,e.g.. documentation and personal statements.
If you wish to nominate for EAS after you have lodged your QTAC application, you can access the cover sheets for each of the categories below. Please note that you must also advise QTAC Information Services on 1300 GO QTAC (1300 467 822) that you intend to nominate for EAS and which categories you intend to apply for. QTAC can then update your application accordingly.

Documentation Guidelines
For
each category of EAS you need to complete a cover sheet (which should be printed at
the end of your QTAC application). These cover
sheets contain questions that you MUST answer and lists what documentation you MUST
supply.
To see a table listing the required documents for each EAS category, please click here.
All EAS categories require a personal statement except for the category of Financial Hardship as only The University of Queensland requires it for this category. However, other institutions may view the personal statement and it might help your case to explain in your own words how financial hardship has affected your study. For this reason it is recommended that you complete a personal statement for Financial Hardship.
Your
personal statement does not need to be long but it is very important. It is your
opportunity to advise why you should be given assistance through the
EAS scheme. You must be able to show in your statement that your circumstances
had a direct impact on your education.
Academic Records
It will strongly support your EAS application if you are able to provide academic records such as school reports or academic transcripts that demonstrate a decrease in achievement as a result of your circumstances.
Educational Support Statement
All applicants who wish to be considered for EAS and who have studied within the last three years must ensure their education provider completes and returns the Educational Support Statement.
