International Applicants

QTAC processes applications for admission to undergraduate courses, selected graduate entry courses and some post-registration courses.  It also processes applications to advanced diploma, diploma and selected certificate courses.

Most applications for postgraduate study should be submitted directly to the tertiary institution but applicants should contact the relevant institution for further information.

How to Apply

QTAC's application methods relate to the category of applicant - Current Year 12, Non-Year 12 or International.

If you are currently completing Queensland Senior or another Australian Year 12 qualification, either in Australia or overseas, you can apply via QTAC’s Twelve to Tertiary (TTT) online application service.

If you are an international student applying on the basis of qualifications other than Australian Year 12, you should contact the institution concerned to determine whether you should apply through QTAC’s Apply by Web (ABW) service or to the institution directly.

If you apply through QTAC, we will ensure that the tertiary institutions are made aware of your course choices. Soon after receiving your application, QTAC will notify you of special procedures relating to your application.

Offers

Please note that offers of tertiary places to international applicants are made directly by the relevant tertiary institutions, not by QTAC. Additionally, entry requirements, study costs and the dates offers are released for international students differ from those for domestic students. Prospective international students should contact the institution directly for more information.

If a tertiary institution wishes to offer you a place in one or more of your preferences you will be notified directly by the institution. Offer letters will explain any conditions in accepting the offer. It is possible that you will receive more than one offer if you have applied for more than one course. You will be free to accept whichever you prefer regardless of the order in which you nominated the courses in your QTAC application.

English Language Proficiency

Courses offered through QTAC are conducted in the English language and require students to be sufficiently proficient in English.  If your first language is not English and you have not previously undertaken either senior schooling or tertiary study where the method of instruction was English, you must demonstrate your English language proficiency. Prospective international students should contact the institution directly for more information.

Any qualification undertaken in a foreign language must be documented by a certified copy of the original transcript and accompanied by an official translation in English.
