English Language Proficiency

QTAC's participating tertiary institutions conduct their courses in the English language and require students to be sufficiently proficient in English to successfully undertake tertiary study.  If English is not your first language and you have not previously undertaken secondary or tertiary study where the medium of instruction was English you may need to demonstrate your English language proficiency by sitting an examination.

If you are unsure whether you satisfy English proficiency, check with the admissions office of the institution you want to attend.  Institutions have different requirements for meeting English language proficiency.

Note:  The English language proficiency requirement is separate from other entry requirements.  Applicants are required to meet all Minimum Entry Requirements specified by the institutions, including prerequisites such as English (4,SA).
